The new Knots and Twists cowl and matching beanie make for a wonderful knits.

They are both cozy, really soft and warm for sure and of course they will make a great gift this holiday season. The motif in both pieces is a striking cable pattern showing off a knot like pattern with a bit of a twist along with a stockinette block.

The beanie is knitted in the round, the cowl is knitted flat. Add the optional Pom to the hat and the optional oversized button to connect the cowl to get the look.

The patterns are both fully written and also offer charts for your knitting pleasure.

The flat cowl measures 27" in length and 8" in height in one size. With the button added it measures about 25" in circumference.

The hat in size S/M measures 20" in bottom circumference with a bigger middle body, the height measures 10" and the Pom adds another 3.5".  The L/XL size is 22.5" in circumference with a larger middle body and the length is 11.5". The added Pom adds another 3.5".

• Two of our cozy Bulk cakes. 108 yards/100 grams each, which is enough to create either size of hat and of course the cowl as well. The super soft acrylic yarn is washable in the gentle cycle with warm water.

Notions needed

• US size 11 (8 mm) circular needle 20" (51 cm) in length
• One stitch marker
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle for finishing

Gauge:  8 sts and 10 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied:  Knitted in the round/flat, cable knitting, increasing, decreasing, cinching remaining crown stitches with tapestry needle, weaving in ends, minimal seaming. Blocking is optional. The samples as shown are not blocked.
